Cambridge First Certificate English FCE
Our intensive preparation courses offer the possibility of practising all the skills required in the five parts of the First Certificate of English examination. Groups are small, the atmosphere is friendly, pleasant and purposeful and the exam preparation course is taught by highly experienced Clare Lewin
Ideal for students wishing to enter for the next examination session, this intensive 12 week preparation course focuses on the skills needed for the 5 papers of the exam normally written in December of each year. Students are familiarised with the exam rubric and there is a high level of exam practice. Students are expected to undertake weekly homework tasks. We expect that students have the necessary level of English before embarking on this very focussed preparation of FCE examination techniques.
Longer FCE Course
Our long-term takes students through a methodical and systematic approach to First Certificate of English exam tasks over a minimum of 6 months preparing students for the June sitting of the FCE examination. Grammar, lexis and exam skills are all studied in a friendly group environment. The course offers more revision of English skills than in the shorter 3 month FCE examination preparation course.
Students may enrol for the complete 9 month course starting in October and benefit from two complete preparations for the FCE exam. There is no obligation to take the examination at the end of the course and the Marbella Study Centre will also advise candidates on the probability of passing the exam with a good grade.
We reserve the right at any time to vary the content of the classes depending on the students' English ability and their examination intentions.
