Angela’s Morning School prepares students for both the IELTS Academic test and the IELTS General training test.
The IELTS Academic test is for students applying for higher education or professional registration in an English speaking environment and the IELTS General Training test is for students who are going to English speaking countries to continue their studies or for work experience or thinking of emigrating to certain English speaking countries.
Generally in Marbella and along the Costa del Sol there are not enough IELTS students to make up a class. Compared with private lessons which can sometimes be costly, our individualised morning course with its very flexible timetable is a popular and economical alternative.
Our student Younes seen below is taking the Academic test to attend university in the UK. Although he studied in Swans International School in Marbella and successfully graduated from their International Baccalaureate programme and has a level of English more than sufficient to study in an English university, he needs to pass IELTS for his study visa. Because his IELTS is part of a visa process, he needs to write the exam in Madrid under the supervision of the British Consul examination centre. If he had been doing the IELTS General test, he could have more conveniently written the exam at the Les Roche International School of Hotel Management IELTS exam centre here in Marbella.
Younes drops into Angela’s morning school two or three times a week when he is not travelling and works on past papers and does listening tests. He also works at home on work sheets emailed to him daily from the study centre. We mark his essays as soon as he has done them and give him immediate feedback.
